High Speed Twinners for Cat5 and Cat6 were developed by TEC. We were asked by the management to come up with a solution for their inconsistency in producing a quality twist. We noted right of that the materials utilized were cheap and not correct for this application. The twist application was driven by open loop drives and on Video playback we could see that the Bows changed pitch and were never consistent. We completed the design and build the controls as far as we could go. As there were DC drives that needed to be re-used space was left on the back plane and installed on site. We were able to make a consistent twist with our controls.
